Moringa June Meeting at Eucalyptus Gardens – “The Alchemist - Coffee Shop”

President, Bonny Miller Cole, and member, Hadny Fayyaz, presented resident “chemist”, Matias Jureit, with some Moringa leaves to make their members a special tea to accompany the super sliders to be served at the June lunch. Hadny also gave Matias a tree that she started from seed to encourage him to put Moringa on the regular menu.

The 3 acre location, formerly a nursery, houses a community of small shops including restaurants, a bakery, coffee shop, cellar bar featuring wine and craft beers, an organic grocery and an Island BBQ. The site is an oasis in the heart of the city resplendent with Eucalyptus trees looking as if they were rainbow colored by “Disney” with orchids and ferns tucked into the trees.

Moringa Garden Circle, of the Fort Lauderdale Garden Club, Inc., will meet there for lunch on June 27th at 12 p.m. Contact the treasurer, Janice Johnson, if you plan to attend.

Moringa meets in members homes througout the year.

We have a meet and greet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. with wine and food whch is supplied by the hostesses. All members volunteer to help with hosting, cleaning up or food.

This is followed by a presentaion by the speaker chosen for that evening.

We also sponsor a fund raiser each year to help us support sending kids to the environmental Camp Wekiva and other aspects of conservation selected by the members. In addition, we support our mother club and its events, The Federated Garden Club of Fort Lauderdale

The Installation of our new Board was held at the Evening Meeting May 21, 2014
